Atwater Village Farm is a “farm to table” corner store. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to purchase fresh, organic local produce at an affordable price. Our mission is to build a place that allows our community to keep both our food and our food dollars in the region so we can all increase the viability of local farms andincrease the quality of food available to our community. Choices at Atwater Village Farm allow for a healthy lifestyle to be sustained or developed through our love of sharing knowledge. We want to help our customers rediscover the joy of preparing food with friends and neighbors, and get closer to the farmers who grew the food that’s on their tables. We are building a market that we hope will evolve into a community-meeting place.

Piper Goldstein was born and raised in Los Angeles. She grew up in a family that values extraordinary customer service. Through the generations, family members have owned breweries, grocery stores, nightclubs and beauty salons. Family members have reputations for going the extra mile, building relationships and loyalty among clients.
Piper Goldstein began her Culinary Education in 1991 at the Los Angeles International Culinary Institute. She earned her Certificate of Completion in Culinary Directives under the guidance of Master Chef Raymond Hoffmeister, one of only 47 Master Chefs in the United States. She embarked upon a career in food service and hospitality working her way successfully through the ranks to a level of proficiency in both culinary and management skills. She developed her skills working with Los Angeles based chefs including Neil Fraser, (Grace, BLD) Fred Eric (VIDA, Fred62) and Octavio Bacerra (The Patina Group).
Piper also worked for Culinary Underground as a private chef on tour with bands including but not limited to the Beastie Boys, Black Eyed Peas, DEVO and the Foo Fighters. She coordinated menus, set up dining rooms on the road, and arranged for all the “special needs” of band and tour members. This experience allowed her to develop a keen sense of resourcefulness, and the ability to quickly think on her feet.
Food and customer service are her passion and it has been a life long dream of hers to establish a community “corner store.” She is driven, focused and enthusiastic.
Atwater Village is her home and Atwater Village Farm is the culmination of her life experiences
thus far.
