Help Farmer Piper Beat Cancer!

Piper Goldstein is a Los Angeles native who followed her life’s dream of opening an organic healthfood store in Atwater Village. For many years, she worked as a private chef for bands including Jane’s Addiction, Mark Mothersbaugh of DEVO, Beastie Boys, Justin Timberlake, and the Foo Fighters. Food, optimal health, and nourishment have always been her passion; Atwater Village is her home; Atwater Village Farm, a community “corner store,” is a component of her lifelong effort to spread farm-to-table cuisine in her community. She opened AVF in December of 2011 with the encouragement and support of private funders via Kickstarter. Her devotion to customer service and grassroots enthusiam extend far and wide, like her reputation of being a resilient and vivacious force of nature. Her generosity and extreme dedication to her community is infectious. If there is one person on the planet who can overcome cancer with a smile on her face, 3 dogs in tow, a pitchfork in hand, and wearing gold lamé, it's Piper – but she needs your support now.
